ECU's Investment Committee

ECU’s Investment Committee was established in 1992 and meets quarterly to provide independent views on the global macro-economic outlook. The committee is purely advisory and does not have any decision-making power. The committee currently comprises Philip Manduca, Chairman, with advisers Kit Juckes, Neil MacKinnon, George Magnus and Robin Griffiths.

Philip Manduca
Philip Manduca is Head of Investment and Chairman of the Investment Committee, responsible for strategy, risk management and performance. Philip has over 20 years of top level experience as a hedge fund manager producing strong risk-adjusted returns.

Kit Juckes  

Kit Juckes is Chief Economist with overall responsibility for analysing economic data and formulating currency strategy. He has over 25 years experience in the financial services sector and has previously worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland and SG Warburg.

 

Neil MacKinnon  
Neil MacKinnon was ECU's Chief Economist for six years and is a senior adviser to the company. He was formerly Chief Economist at Nexus Capital and has served as Chief Currency Strategist both at Citibank and Merrill Lynch.
 

George Magnus  
George Magnus

George Magnus is Senior Economic Adviser at UBS Investment Bank, and was previously their Chief Economist for seven years. He was formerly Chief International Economist at UBS and Head of Fixed Income Research at S.G.Warburg.

Robin Griffiths
Robin Griffiths Robin Griffiths is Chief Technical Strategist at Cazenove Capital. He was formerly Head of Asset Allocation at Rathbones and Chief Technical Strategist at HSBC Securities. Prior to that he was Head of Technical Analysis at WI Carr and Grieveson Grant.
