MANAGED MARGIN ACCOUNTS

Open a Managed Margin Account

Opening a Managed Margin Account is a straightforward three-step process.

Step One: Discretionary Management Services Agreement & PFQ

To open an Individual Account, a Joint Account or a SIPP Account, you will need to enter into a Client Agreement with ECU, authorising us to manage a margin account on your behalf under a limited Power of Attorney. Please click the relevant link below to download an ECU Client Agreement:

You will also need to complete a Personal Financial Questionnaire:

Step Two: Margin Account Application Forms

ECU does not hold client money; all cash and open positions are held in and through a client's account at the client's bank. If you already have a margin account, please fill in the details on the Client Agreement for Discretionary Account Management Services.

If your bank does not provide margin accounts, ECU can manage accounts at Saxo Bank or Deutsche Bank, through its trading platform dbFX. To find out more about these banks and to assist you in your selection, please go to the Bank Selection page.

.

Once you have selected your bank, you will need to complete the bank application forms. Follow the relevant link below to select the appropriate forms (this will open in a new window).
