Many advisors seeking to arrange multi-currency mortgages for their clients encounter difficulties with the private banks that offer these facilities due to their clients’ lack of expertise in currency management. Indeed most banks will not extend a multi-currency facility unless an approved currency management firm has been engaged.

As the UK’s largest and longest established currency debt management firm, ECU aims to meet this gap between borrowers' needs and their capabilities. ECU may charge a fee for arranging a multi-currency facility.

Do your clients meet the following lending criteria?

  • Minimum principal earner's income of £100,000
  • Debt/Equity ratio (LTV) must not exceed 70% of the value of the property
  • Minimum loan size of £500,000
  • Maximum loan size is limited to 3 x the main income or 2.5 x joint incomes
  • UK residential properties and buy-to-lets. Commercial properties also considered
  • ECU's performance fee structure means that its interests are directly aligned with those of clients

We have a variety of renumeration arrangements for Introducing Brokers, IFAs or other intermediaries, whether they are looking to make occasional one-off introductions or introduce large groups of clients.
